At Pine Rivers State High School, we are committed to working together towards all students proudly achieving their personal best. We have a strong vision and values. We seek to provide a supportive environment where everyone respects one another, cares for one another and helps one another in a team approach to provide the best opportunities for our students.

First opened in 1964, Pine Rivers State High School is a large school, which has gained an excellent reputation in the local and wider community. A diverse curriculum is structured to provide multiple pathways for students to pursue excellence in a wide range of curricular and co-curricular activities. This is embodied in our School Motto, "By Different Ways to Excellence."

There is a school-wide focus on the integration of multimedia and information technology across the curriculum to transform learning. A distinctive teaching and learning culture underpins all that we do at Pine Rivers State High School. The celebration of achievement is integral to this.

All students enrolling at our school go through a formal induction program to introduce them to our culture and our support structures. At the same time, we inform them of the high expectations we have of all members of our total school community, which focus on respect, pride and effort.

Quality teaching is our priority and a large team of committed and very experienced teaching and non-teaching staff work conscientiously to assist our students to maximise their learning. We aim to develop a partnership with parents and caregivers in the process. We liaise closely with the tertiary and TAFE institutions and have established strong links with the business sector to facilitate our students' transition to further study and/or the world of work.

At Pine Rivers State High School, we respond to the ongoing challenge of providing a relevant education to equip our students for an ever-changing society. We are constantly reviewing and developing our curriculum, our teaching practices and our facilities and resources. Any innovation is carefully considered and researched before implementation occurs. Tied to this is a strong commitment to staff professional development.
